MANSI ARORA

William Shakespeare wrote “be not afraid of greatness, some are born great, some achieve greatness and some have greatness thrust upon them”. Miss Mansi Arora is someone who was not born great but with her perseverance and a strong determination to create her own identity and set herself apart from the crowd she managed to achieve Greatness. We as readers often come across ample of biographies that speak of the hardships and afflictions that people had to suffer through but what sets Miss. Mansi Arora apart is her sheer spirit to overcome those afflictions and take the bull by its horns with a smile on her face. She is an enigma, a candle light in the midst of all darkness guiding people and helping them in difficult situations. We find teachers who depart knowledge but Mansi Arora is a true mentor, she ensures that she is able to do her utmost for all her students as well as other people who approach her for guidance or counseling. She does paramount to help people out be it financially or by counseling parents and students.

In today’s selfish and mercenary world, we seldom get to cross path with gems such as Miss. Mansi Arora who not only invested her money but also her time to help out several slum area students providing them with stationeries, books etc… along with educating them with knowledge to help children as well as adults to be educated enough to earn a living. She has been teaching for the last 25 years and runs a school for the slum students providing them with an opportunity to learn and participate in activities that they could have never afforded to do so formerly. It is her exorbitant helpful nature that leads her to organize gathering for these fore lone kids and present them momentary happiness especially during holiday seasons when everyone is so occupied in their own joys that no one ever gives a second thought to the people who lack ever the basic necessities and devoid of any simplest of happiness.

Miss Arora nurtures every person she comes across just like a sapling is nurtured and taken care off in a nursery. In the midst of this busy and fast pace world, one feels lucky if we get to come across one such gem of a person. One of her student consider her more like a mother instead of a teacher and it won’t be a surprise if this particular feeling is shared by more than one of her student. An average teacher makes certain that their students secure good grades but Miss Mansi Arora looks at the bigger picture, she councils the students to not only score good grades but also ensure the students create their own identity and become a respectable person of the society. When I first meet her, I instantly felt a strong connection, she is someone who is surrounded by a positive aura; in her I not only discovered a mentor but also a friend, each conversation with her made me learn a new life’s lesson that were hidden beneath her fun filled facts.

Mark Twain once quoted “Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great.” And Miss. Mansi Arora truly follows what had been quoted, she teaches us to avoid the negative and justly acknowledge the greatness within each individual.
